Camping and Riding Permits

OHV PERMITS REQUIRED:

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

Your OHV must be currently registered in California and have a current green or red sticker.

 NON-CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

If you are an out-of-state resident planning on visiting Glamis, Buttercup, etc., or any other location in California to ride an OHV, you’ll need an out-of-state non-resident OHV permit. These permits are $30 and are valid until December 31, the year they are purchased.

You can find them at https://secure.cloudwisesolutions.com/app/products.html.

OTHER PERMITS REQUIRED

CALIFORNIA CAMPFIRE PERMITS

Without a campfire permit or debris burning permit, you risk violating regulations and facing fines and even criminal charges. This is a state-wide regulation.

You can get a permit at the link below. After a short video, there are a few easy questions, and you can print them or have them sent via email. Permits are valid until December 31, the year they are obtained.

ISDRA RECREATION PERMIT

Permits are required from October 1 through April 15 each year for each primary vehicle*. The revenue from these permits funds BLM services that include road clearing, campground maintenance, trash collection, law enforcement, and emergency medical services, to name a few.

Permits are $55 per week in advance off-site and $70 per week if purchased on-site. Season permits are $185 on-site or off-site. More information on where to purchase off-site and online purchases is at http://isdpermits.net

*A “primary vehicle” is a street-legal vehicle that is not stickered as off-road, not an OHV, that is driven to the ISDRA under its own power.
