whatcha' think about the Revolt?

This toy was reviewed in the last Sand Sports magazine... Looks much like a Pilot on steroids. I am going to look at one this weekend, and am anxious to hear from anyone who has any experience with them.

You can't go wrong at Gros Ventre... I think it's a NPS campground near Jackson Hole. Lot's of sites, and pretty affordable at 10 bucks (i think) a night. Coyotes, Mooses, birds; all kinds of wildlife. No way near full. It's a distance to Ystone, but great if you are going to do Jackson and Teton NP.

Check with AuraLee, but I am remembering someone saying they could get a drum of 110 delivered to the campground. We were able to buy some at a M/C dealer in Rexburg... There is a fuel distributor in Rexburg, as well, who sells drums of VP, I believe.

I do not recall the road being that bad; we were a 32'WW pull trailer and older Lazy Dayz w/ a 28' enclosed, and it was no problem. We stopped at the fork and filled w/ water, and then went on down there. Certainly no worse than the washes.

Thanks, Vince! For all I know, it is a power block. This Pilot was tricked out by a place in Phoenix, so it probably has an aftermarket clutch thingy to handle the extra umph! I'll let you know how it turns out.

I believe our duner was coming in to 86 from the Julian side, and I'm pretty sure a CHP pulled him over. He was in a 3/4 ton P/U, pulling a 28' trailer. After going to the DMV and receiving a 138 page manual, a friend who just took the test tells us that there is a short version manual for RV's.

Just to update the situation, and thank everyone for their help, here's the end of the saga... Sam at Rancho rebuilt the MegaSand, and it was cherry throughout the season. Thanks Sam! I submitted my claim to B of A for recompense of the original CC charge, and lo and behold, they credited my account...

An update on the Megasand saga... Went to pick up the trans, and since it was in pieces, I asked him to show me the specific parts he claims have been damaged by the wrong oil. Sure, they were messed up, but I can't tell if they were burned. Then his guy says, oh yeah and the case is cracked... Huh?...

Answered in wide open, but in an nutshell, we rean a Mega Sand 3 days of plain old not crazy duning and pretty much the whole thing is trash. We ran 75/90 synthetic, because at no time did the manufacturer tell us it was contraindicated...
