Re: "law enforcement presence viewed as essential, excessive
My last trip to the dunes was T-Giving and not sure what excessive enforcement would be if you don't get stopped? I have no plans to return and missed NY's because I've lost interest and with the new helmet law for UTV's I quit... To bad because I went from duner to vendor back to duner and the dune...

Has this board dwindled to extinction?? No response from anyone?? I re-read the law and it looks like any vehicle over 1000cc is exempt?? You know the rule that if you want something screwed up let a bureaucrat handle it applies!! This law makes no sense what so ever and I've been off roading in CA....

IMO it seemed like quite a few more people. Halloween seemed more crowded and this weekend seemed to be more "Poser's" at Old's and the vendors area was more crowded than ever. Re: LEO's out of Control!
After the last Halloween at Glamis Wash 12 I give up on the LEO's... In my HMO they look at us as a source of revenue and that's it. The day we arrived we were checked for a permit at the North end of Wash Rd. and then twice more at the camp.. and that's it for the weekend other than at the hill and...

Just got home after arriving at Glamis Wash 12 Saturday morning and I'd say the crowds were down by a 1/3 from years past. I would imagine that permit sales are down so lets not make this a post office issue and continue with garbage and LEO's as in the past. I was at Old's Saturday afternoon and co...

The UP just finished a "Repair" at the tracks and take it easy going over them. It's closer to a Tank Trap than a crossing. They put a sign that says BUMP and they are correct! Fine job UP!!
