I definitely think wearing a helmet is a personal choice. Of all the accidents I have worked, and unfortunately there have been a lot. I don't think I've really ever seen a neck injury. I have seen many, many broken backs, broken arms, broken legs. Of course the few head injuries were not wearing th...

Derek, I wanted to express my sadness as well. I was one of the EMS people who helped your cousin. And after believing he would be ok, i was very upset on Sunday when I heard the news. I am so so sorry...After returning your quads to your camp, we headed home, cold, and tired, but with the lasting i...

When my father and I decided to try and reorganize the DP, we knew there were some problems. We are trying to fix those problems and make them better. We chose to try and find a solution, not be part of the problem. We did not like that it was nearly impossible to get a radio, we did not like that p...

I think it's a lack of respect. Respect for others, themselves, or the sand! I have asked many people to pick up there trash. I ask them how exactly they expect their trash to get in the trash can? I spend the last 20 minutes of my trip to Glamis, picking up trash in my camp area. I'm a firm believe...

I think this is an excellent topic. I too have never had a bad experience with a Ranger or a LEO. And yes, they are very different. I can tell you that rangers take a lot of abuse. Last season, our group was harassed several times about moving cones, that were blocking the parking spots, for trucks that had been taken into Brawley for supplies, or that had gone to the drags. So yes the BLM do some times enforce the space rules. We use cones to (try) to protect the front end of...
