As I said if you "need" it. Running a high octane fuel in a machine that does not require it can degragate performance because the higher octane fuels burns slower. That fact and the fact that they put oxygenates in some high octane fuels is why you may need to reject your machine. Lots of variables...

The only one that mentions racism is John Sinlaub. Derik Jarne doesn't say a thing about it. Am I wrong to assume that Mr. Sinlaub might be managing Sand Mountain to avoid any appearance of racism rather than managing it for the good of Sand Mountain and "ALL" that use it.

Can anybody tell me the height of these paddles on their front edge. I'm talking about the difference between a #1, #2, #3 and #4 paddle. I would like to know which ones are on the rail I purchased. I have heard you can't get all four heights anymore either. One was discontinued. Is this true?

Big Dune is about 100 miles north of Vegas about 5 miles south on State Route 393 at the junction with U.S.Highway 95 at Amargosa Valley. They have sanctioned sand drags there on occasions. That would be my best guess as to where.

I've used tire slime from Wal Mart or the hardware store in sandrail paddles in the past with not problem. I run it in all my ATV tires to avoid leaks period.

Hey Sandmaniac,

I'm going to replace my flywheel seal and o-ring this weekend. Do you secure your flywheel with somthing more than one flywheel lock. That much torgue makes me wonder if you are putting too much pressure on the case mounting bolt hole.

I've run them both along with others. I think the Skat Track or Sand Skates are both better than some of the cheaper ones like Kenda and GBC. I think they use a better quality rubber compound and the paddles seem to be a little taller. As usual, I think you get what you pay for.
