The bottom line here is, which is harder to detect, and then enforce? A stack of pallets by the fire pit, or shifting thru the ashes looking for nails? While it's true that they aren't going to be able to inspect every rig on the way into Glamis, if they see a stack of pallets being piled up around a campfire area while driving around, they could at that point have the individuals remove them from the area. Of course it does depend on whether the L...

I'm all for a law prohibiting pallets. I can't stand seeing them being burned and the mess of nails they leave behind. There is no reason to bring pallets into the dunes, unless you're planning to burn them. I'd bet that the 99.9% of pallets being brought into the dunes are brought there by a-holes ...

Very little dust from what I remember from the last 2 years. One thing though, you might want to camp a little further away from the road that goes into the dunes to avoid a lot (relatively speaking) of traffic going by you as people are coming and going to the dunes.

It's just a dirt road with a few small bumps. May be a little muddy if they are watering the fields around it. Make sure you take the main road over that little canal. Not the one in which I've seen pics of people miscalculating the length of their tow rigs and end up hanging off the side of that li...
