Hey Roger, this was summer before last trip. We spend a week at St. Anthony, and traveled to the Oregon dunes for a week. We spent the night in Burns. We never got a chance to take a look at Christmas Valley. Maybe next time.

Florence or Coo's Bay

Our group is planning its 3rd Oregon dune trip and wanted to try something different than Winchester. We are trying to decide between Florence and Coo's Bay. Which campgrounds are the best choice for a group of toyhaulers 30 to 40 ft. Must have full hookups. Links and pics would be much appreciated....

Well I can't compare to that. But I had a $5 fuel filter break on my DS this weekend at Pismo. I was having fuel issues and when I went down and wiggled the plastic filter it broke off! My quick field repair of cutting an inch off of my gas cap vent hoze and using it to bypass the filter got me back...

What do you think of this happening in a vertically dug hole? My kids always dig a hole near camp. Never over their heads while standing, but at least 4' tall. Is there a risk here? Never thought of it until now.

I have a nice paint job but it gets dirty. I'm with you on the long travel. I would buy one of Yoshi's rails before I put that kind of money in a Rhino, but thats just me.

I stayed at Grizzly as well. Nice RV park.

As far as fuel, you want to hit the major truck stops, Loves and Sinclair come to mind. You can get their prices and locations online.

Rich, I did the Jackson hole area the first year and Yellowstone the next. Everyone liked Jackson hole a lot better. So if you can only do one or the other Jackson would be my vote. I've only added K&N, rejet, and added the power tip to the exhaust. This bike is a cruiser,a hill racer, and a drag bike. I'm usually only a quad length or two behind the YFZ 450's. on a 1/4 mile. These dunes just east of Palm Springs on 111 we called Whitewater but I think other called it Windy Point. We had a lot of fun in our 4x4's back in the day in those mini dunes. Some good hill climbs too.

71" with 6 lbs in the tires. I noticed someone at the show was selling an airbag kit to lower it about 4 inches. You could also purchase a custom cage that is lower than stock.

As far as needing a car when you get there, we weighed the cost of getting a tow bar and towing the family car but for how many times we would use it, it would be cheaper just to rent a car when you get there. I believe Enterprise will deliver the car to your campground.
