A lost whip will settle an argument.
While seperated from my group ride on Oct 16th I rolled my quad and broke off my whip with a cycle Parts West Checkered flag, and a white and Orange flag. It also still had the red light on it. My group say I couldn't have seen Olds from where I was. I swear I saw it. I don't want/need the whip back...

Ya that kinda got to me too, but I lifted the back end of the one in the shop bout two feet as if I were stuck in a sand hole. And lifted the front end up as high as a tailgate with the help of the sales man on the other wheel. I have ramps and a manual winch I CAN use (if not drive it up) IT IS ove...

A terrible thought woke me from my sleep.
How long will it be before the BLM thinks up the idea that too many people are injured in the dunes and to solve the problem they set out to level it all out. Maybe I shouln't even post such a thing. If so Mods Please delete this so "they" don't get that idea. I'm gonna TRY to go back to sleep now. ...

When I first started going out to Glamis we stayed with a Jeep club. One year there was a guy who broke out in the dunes. I think it was a U joint and drive shaft, and he REFUSED to be towed back. He stayed out in the dunes overnight letting his wife drive into El Centro the next day for parts then ...

OK Besides a Jeep I've been thinking of a good "recovery vehicle". Over MLK on Sunday I was out with 3 quads 2 rails and an Odyssey. We ran into this poor guy on his first trip out to Glamis in his shiney new rail except his front beam was broke in half, his motor was leaking oil like a siv (whats a...

The most trips I've ever made in one season (2) but the 3rd just MIGHT be possible. I don't know how but now having taking my daughter out if I wait till next season she might not be able to keep her new found enthusiasm. The BEST part has been the people I've met. I camped with two different "clubs...

Yes, It was a T-day weekend I was at Dumont. They were like lions, if you watched them spanning out AROUND the area where the fireworks were going off till they pinpointed the campsite and pounced. Also the funniest thing I EVER saw at Any dunes was at Comp hill (Dumont). This kid was lighing off re...

The only time I was out at Dumont I saw the rangers going after fireworks as if someone was getting killed. I persoally like to see the ocasional fireworks out in the washes and picked up quite a few sky rokets MLK for the clean up. But why do they crack down so hard at Dumont but allow them at Glam...

LTZ my foot is "ok" for walking standing, even driving a stick on the Hwy every now and then. Ther problem I'm having with the standard trans quad is the diferance between the foot peg and the gear shift. At times I thought I was down shifting BUT my foot would be so far over to the outside of the p...

I'm pretty sure what you'll say, but I'll ask any way
I'm a heavy guy in my 30s I had an acident that left me without use of my left foot. Well I Can use it some, but shifting a regular quad is difficult to say the least. I once had an FL 350. It was pretty cool, a Cadalic compaired to the quads I use to ride. I, for a long time, thought of getting a P...

It was my daughters first full weekend trip out at Glamis she really found the importance of why this was done. she came up with a couple of good saying that made me go hmmmm. "Treas...
