Lower gearing in the trans would help in the sand if your carrying more weight (like a full body car) Figure on opening up the motor from a 1600cc to 1915cc. Not sure about the torsion question? Rasing the rear or front by indexing the torsions is easy, but with a SA rear you wont get much......IRS ...

A sand tires unlimited Desert Trak tire will work great up front.

Not sure if the brake lights are working or not yet since I don't have anyone else here to go look while I push on the brake. And due to the design of the pedal...a brick won't really cut it.

One would think if hooked up correctly positive clip first before negitive clip...the negitive would have more spark marks as you check to see if it is actually charging :idea:

Yeah I don't know how old the tires are, and while they do have lots of tread I don't really trust them. It is stamped on the side wall next to "DOT" - it gives you week of year and the year. Shouldn't you be able to put your volt meter on the charger and see if it reads + voltage from the red wire or - voltage from the red wire??
To find the right charging direction??

Sounds like something in the system is feeding power to the coil (keeping it running on)

Might check for a bare wire touching another or hot exhaust (making it's own circuit)
