I was out at Ocotillo Wells over the Memorial Weekend. Very small crowd out there and there was no traffic on the 78/S2/79 going home. I have to believe that it is the economy.

We made a ride from Pad 4 to the South Dunes this past Thursday and there was an accident in the dunes. We also saw the helo when we were coming south. Not sure what happened as I didn't go over there and start rubbernecking.

They graded and it looked like they added base to Cement Flats. They also graded Pad 1.5 and I think 2. They looked good. I saw equipment by the GBS, but did not venture over there. Maybe Alyska could eleborate on Wash Road, i.e. he was at W25.

I would venture to say that most of us recreate at the Imperial Sand Dunes and make occassional visits to other sand dune areas. The bbs is open to all, you just need to join the aSa.
