Might be a lack of water. Eucalyptus tend to do that during periods of extended drought. The wood burns very well, and very hot. BUT, anything nearby will smell like Vick's for weeks, including you. You just have to let it age long enough and make sure the fire is hot enough to avoid the Vicks smel...

I'm pretty sure it wasn't re-implemented the last time we updated the BBS since due to the new membership database we were unable to automate the linking like we were previously.

It does tend to confirm my concerns though. The newspaper pretty much jumped the gun on this one. Right now there still isn't any confirmed budget for anything let alone trash next year and even with Filners efforts we could end up without the funds.

My guess. If the BLM does put a new road in, UPRR will never bother to gate their off unless people continue to use it instead of the new road. I don't disagree with Sloppy at all.

But as pointed out in the thread I linked to this kind of alarmist and non-factural PSA has been stopped before. And that's the real issue.

They're not following through on it ... yet.

But that doesn't mean that the standards they set were any less unrealistic.

Just a quick note that I posted a slight correction to my post above. Talking to Dick Holiday today I realized that I managed to get things a little twisted regarding how the ASA's counts compared to the BLM's counts. I think I got it right this time.

Here in PHX for the ASA BOD meeting...this was a VERY hot topic tonight. Comments at the RRAC sound like they're going to be important....BUT....just like the old TRT the RRAC is NOT BINDING. In other words even if the RRAC listens to the public and tells the BLM "no dice" the BLM can still go ahead...

Repairs were as easy as I expected. I wasn't quite as happy about how straight the vertical stabilizer was this time...but it was a much stronger joint. The wing repair was easy and should be strong, but the re-covering got a bit of a wrinkle in it I'm not super happy about. But it all looked better...
