:D We are going to try to make it out there sometime this week, just trying to see what the weather is going to be like. It would be our kid's first time out there and we haven't been for about 15 years or so.

Be carefull up around the razors on the big dune (comp hill side) between the rain and wind it has left a few small witch's eyes. They are in the most hidden areas and are small enough so you can't see them until it's too late. I wrecked without wrecking if you get my drift on one over the weekend and I was on the look out for them.

Be safe.

p.s. keep an eye out for those worm trails also

Is Dumont further away than Glamis? We are from Riverside and have been to Dumont but it has been over 20 years since we have been out that way. Went to Glamis last April but didn't know if they are the same distance. Thanks, Crash&burn

From My place near Ramona Exp and I-215, Glamis (Gecko Rd) is 2Hr 45Min without trailer and 70-75 MPH, with trailer 3hr 15min at 60MPH. Dumont with trailer is closer to 4 Hrs if I remember correctly, so if your in Rivercity already, you save 20+ minutes. Sorry I don't have the mileage to Dumont. My GPS says Glamis is 136 Miles (As a pigeon flys) from My house to Gecko rd(Cement Flats)
