There's a rumor it's getting paved.

Please tell me it isn't so.

It used to be paved years ago.
I haven't heard of any rumors about paving.
I would like it to be paved again. It shakes my MH something fierce.

I would like the last 2/3rds of it paved (be a good compromise)....dirt road near the hwy, then pave the rest.. With the cost of mohos, trailers, and pickup trucks nowadays coupled with the fact we have to pay money to go recreate, we should not have to beat the living crap out of expensive stuff (i.e. rock damage, shaking, heavy dust).

I would prefer it to stay as is.

Too many people is my issue. Dumont is small. Doing a head on over a Razorback is not nice.

I just got off the phone with Mike down at BLM Barstow.

Road: They have no plans to pave the road although they've done some "road improvements" such as widening the road and adding more base. He also said sometime in the future they plan on redoing the river crossing (no specific time yet).

Season Passes: Couldn't provide me an exact date on when this season's passes will be avail but he said it'd probably sometime mid-Sep. Also, he stated the price would be the same as last year.

Hope this helps clear up some of the rumor control.

They just regraveled it.

It's an OK ride up till you get close to the river.
