So quiet around here

Post by Blaster_chick »

Where is everyone?

We've been really busy since the move and I haven't posted in awhile.

What's your excuse? What have all of you been doing?

We've spent a lot of time on the mountain, snowboarding. I can't wait to get back to Glamis/Buttercup. I will be in Yuma from March 6-? 3-weeks-ish. I plan on hitting the sand every weekend while I'm there.

It is quiet, and not too sure why.
As for me, I'm between jobs this week, sitting at home, bbs'n on dial-up, not too fun, working hard, tearing down / re-building a fence, getting ready for Glamis, leaving tonight, etc.

I start a new job next week, so my mad-crazy posting days are nearing a close.

I've noticed the same thing as well.

Me personally, I haven't had much to say of late. Working on the ASA What's New e-mail I get loads of info about the ISDRA, ASA, and other things related to our sport, so maybe it's just a matter of information overload for me?

Anyway, good to see everyone's still here, even if we don't have alot to say right now. We still have the one thing that keeps us all bonded together, RIGHT????

Nope. Matt and I have been doing a couple of games for BC/Gowan to help promote some of their products. We've done some of their websites in the past (back before BC started posting here) so when she had the idea for these games we jumped at the chance to do something a little different.

I have been out in the garage working on a chevy 3100 in a 96 Corsica (anyone care to guess what was wrong with the motor??)

Also have an 1835cc VW spread out waiting on parts and someone to clean some watered parts up.

And just pulled another 1835cc VW motor apart with some water damage (Must rain around here from time to time?? ) Not bad, but found out it was not an 1835 but rather a 1600cc (85.45 pistons) The motor was bought as an 1835  (does have some nice parts.....Big valve heads, sump, pertronix/.009, alternator, and counter weighted crank)
IF the bottom end checks out the owner wants to go 1915cc.

I have very little time in the mornings to get in here, then, at work, when I get time, it's dialup! :? :(

Was taking engine out of wife's quad, busted the socket I most needed, bloody hand and all. That sucked.

Trying to get contractors here to give estimates, they never show up even when I promise them alcohol for their appearence. :? :?

Lots to do and trying to squeeze it all in.

Haven't done our taxes yet, that'll take a hour or so. Need the refund to do more remodeling on the money pit we live in.

I think it is a computer nerd's dream job to make a game...lol

They have turned out so well.

Jason, after we have the tradeshow, we are hoping to release the game for anyone who wants to play. We are going to even do some direct mail campaigns featured around it.

So lets talk about global warming. Ha Ha.

I feel for you man. I was in Denver when it hit -18. Just wait until you get back to the dunes. You are going to sweat your boys off.
