Chuck, can you keep us updated? Praying for ya my duner buddy.

I talked to his wife on Tuesday, she said he wasn't feeling real good. Talked to Jon on Wednesday and he said he was fine. When I talked to him briefly Thursday everything seemed good.

I'll check on him today as I just got back to town.

Jon just called, he's at St.B's now and scheduled for bypass tomorrow. He sounds good, and he's happy that they are finally doing this. He'll probably be in ICU for several days after the operation.

Wow!

Jon......you're in good hands and I'll keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm recovering my dad from his double bypass surgery that he had last week at LLUMC here at home with me. It's an amazing procedure.....you'll be up and around in no time.

I spoke to Brittany, Patty and Jon last night.

Brittany gave me the lowdown on Jon having an angiogram last night.

Patty then called and told me from the hospital and told me Jon was having a bypass today, then Jon got on and we talked for a few minutes and told silly jokes. He told me he's still coming to the SSSS!

Patty called me just a bit ago (before the earthquake)....Jon had a single bypass and is in recovery and is doing very well and should be awake later tonight.

Good news! He'll be back soon!

I just spoke to Brittany on the phone.

Jon is feeling/acting pretty "normal" already. Was a bit grumpy this morning but is better now.

She was going to go visit him a little later today. I told her to tell him we're all asking about him.

He called me yesterday afternoon...he's out of ICU and in a regular room. He said it sucks to be him as he has some nice 3/4" tubes sticking out of him plus the IV. He's feeling "better" but not great yet, said it hurts some. He was in a pretty good mood, tried to guilt-trip me for not having my phone yesterday but it didn't work. He gets to go home on Saturday. Pretty good time for having what he had done.

Still plans to make it to the SSSS. =D>

WOW!!!! What a fricken group of friends I have here. I'm getting all weepy.

2 blocked arteries found Monday planned to crack me op tuesday and fix at least one. I looked at the clock at 8:30 AM Tuesday as they were putting me under. Due to some messed up levels in some test they couldn't take out the ventalator until 4:30 AM Wednesday. So ya I was a bit grumpy. Wednsday at noon they wanted me to get out of bed and sit in a chair. I know what a bunch of mean evil people huh getting out of bed so i can sit. This kinda angered me as well. The big guy who had a hold of me said "the quicker you get in and out of bed the quicker you'll get to go home." :shock: :-k :-s So I just stood up. \:D/ :-^ Now I know why I went through all those years of drinking. I learned you start to fall... people are going to catch you. I was out of ICU that night.

They by passed the RCA only as the LMO didn't have enough bite on one end to take a grapht (sp?) Those tube were something else I tell ya. 1/2 inch tubes coming out right between the top of your beer guy and right under your man boobs makes ya think twice about every move you think you want to know. I got lots of drugs though. Could have used more, but it looks like I got through it. Just happy to be home. Got home about noon today. I can get around the house pretty good, a bit sore, but I got TIVO!!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Bad news. No driving for 6 weeks. No lifting over 10lbs for 8-12. No quad for 4 months. This kinda... no wait DID screw up my plans to get the ASA trailer thats in storage cleaned up for the event in San Bernardino. Chuk is stepping up big to get the trailer out to San Bernardino NO if I can get a person or two that might want to wash the out side of it before the event then work the trailer inside and clean it inside during the Extreme event... That would be cool. It is my feeling that the Jagged X event and this one here in San Bernardino on the 9th are times for the ASA to shine. The SSSS, in my opinion is just as if not MORE important for us to look good to the off road community. So, FOR ME, this was a pretty bad time for me to go through this. So it does mean so much to me to read what you guys wrote. I think a couple of you might have even tried to call. I couldn't/ wouldn't reach the phone. [-X

I'll be gimping it to Extreme and I should be LOTS better by the SSSS so I look forward to seeing ya'll at either, or both of those two places.

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. If any of ya want to help Chuk with the trailer just PM him or I. :wink:

Anybody ever get Sunday evening calls from Washer? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: You woke me up. But Patty was just talking away. I figured it was my aunt or mom she was talking to. I was still sore as heck, but I made my way into the bathroom. Funny how a little thing like a hole in your chest can turn peeing into a 5 minute job. So I come out of the bathroom and Patty is off the phone. She says "That was Brian" I said "OH MY GAWD Its not after 6 is it?" She said, "its 7" The phone rang twice more last night. Patty just laid there next to the phone, sweating, in the fetal position, rocking back and forth, mumbling "the answering machine will get it. the answering machine will get it." (Patty just read this. Shes embarrassed. She told me I couldn't post that about her.... She said, "Ladys don't sweat")

BTW, and not to be a whiner, I got up at 11:30 last night and tried to go back to sleep twice without any luck. My phone(s) will go unanswered till atleast 7 tonight.

Oh man I have a months worth of stupid nurse/dr/people in general at hospital stories.

And to answer YOUR question G.B. Most were just OK. But the nice ones were the ugly ones the nice looking ones were ***Female dogs*** there was even a kid nurse there that looked like a not so drugged up Amy Winehouse.

Weird thing about St Bernadines (sp?) where I was it was like everybody there was out of the 70's. You can tell from across the room they weren't clean shaven down there and you wouldn't be surprised if they drove up in a Ford Pinto wagon. So people don't like that. I was heavily medicated...druged.

You know what? THATS what we need forget the spell check. Just give us the cross out feature. we screw a word up, we cross it out and put in a smaller word we know how to spell.

OK I'm going to sleep now.

I DO have a picture of the triple button, but there is NO way I'm going to post it where any unsuspecting person can stumble upon it. I mean its probably not THAT bad for most of us, but its just stuff that shouldn't be thrown up here. I'll get working on that.

In the mean time, and just in case your ever in a situation where a small Asian lady is helping you into bed at 2 AM and she doesn't speak good enough english might not want to try this even though it was kinda funny.

Nurse: OK you ready to got back unto bed now?
Me: ya.
Nurse: OK scoot yoer butt back heir to da middle and I swing yoer regs ower...Ready?
Me: Ya on fourteen...one..two...three <starting to sit down faster and faster>
Nurse: No foteen.
<I stand back up>
Me: Sorry
<Start to sit again>
Me:Lets try 20 then to give you some time.
Nurse: Mista perglblka!!!
<I stand up>
Me: What?
Nurse: On free!...OK Ready one...two.
<And I lay back>
Nurse: I say tahree you go on two.
Me: Sorry I'm use to that fourteen thing.
Nurse: I bring you uranal from now on.

From that point on, and having an IV drip water into me it was a cake walk to let about 3 ccs go every 10 minutes. And of course she did say "Let me know when you go so I can empty it for you." She was a clean tidy person though I gotta give that much to her. That led to the call button speaker fun. I'll get to that later.

Reminds me of the "check the welfare" call I took a couple years ago. Some gal calls PD and says she hasn't seen her neighbor for about 2 weeks and all his mail is piling up. He was 11-44 (dead) in the house and his entire face (the soft flesh) had been eaten away by magots and the flesh on his arms and legs was litteraly sheding off. Now that is something you don't soon forget...but I've still seen much worse :shock:

This should give ya a good laugh.

Washroad was right. He told me about a guy he knew that tried to drive a truck 6 weeks after one of these. 3 weeks after mine I couldn't handle the power steering in a fricken Mercury. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Its bad enough when doctors are right but when someone like Washer Road should have been listened to its enough to bring a guy to tears.

I'm do'n good though. Until the man brings me down again...stupid "man".

I tried this line on my wife in an effort to get her blessing for a new v8 powered rail...it didn't work...she told me I'd just have to take my chances I live long enough to afford one.

Hey GB--

What is your attraction to a V8??

Do you like the sound?? Can't be the handling or the power?? V8s typically are much heavier rails and weight does little to help dune. Capable, but smaller and lighter cars dune better than V8s any day.
