She came in at 6lbs 5oz (almost the same as her daddy) and 18 3/4"
The birth didn't go anywhere near how we had planned. A week past the due date Amy's doctor encouraged us to induce delivery because of Amy's blood pressure. Unfortunately the BP issues only got worse in the hospital, and the medicine they put her on for it made her sick and left her confined to bed - all before the induction drugs managed to get labor started. Then a little after 2 on memorial day the baby's heart rate suddenly plunged from 145 down to 30. It came back up just as quick...but then dipped again. It did come back up again but at that point the risk was too high and we had to do an emergency c-section. Which Amy had really been hoping to avoid. But she went through it like a champ and both mom and baby came out healthy happy and are recovering quickly.

Lots more photos up here: baby photos (PG-13 no gory birth shots but a few of mom and baby breastfeeding for the first time. No nipples showing but some bare chest so if that kind of thing offends you don't look. Amy is proud to be a mom and breastfeeding and encouraged me to share the shots with the world.)
Oh - and also like her dad when he was her age see seems to love being in the car. The last night/morning before leaving the hospital she was an inconsolable terror. But as soon as I put her bottom in the car seat she closed her mouth, smiled, stretched and sat contentedly for the entire ride home! Guess I will have to get the manx finished and add a rear seat that can safely hold a carseat now
