Not just another Dune movie

Post by Vincent J Brunasso »

My friends and I like to picnic in the dunes we frequent. We noticed that any food scraps we left behind were always gone the next day.

I searched online and bought what is known as a game camera. It is used to observe what animals are in the area. It is battery-operated and motion activated with infrared capabilities. After a 30-second sensing of movement, it takes a 30-second video. There are other settings, but that’s the one I picked.

Here is a compilation vid of our last outing – we caught some pretty cool creatures in action.

Kit Fox. Late eighties early nineties we would do trips to Dumont. We cooked some hamburger meat for tacos and the fox came right next to us to eat the fat we spooned off in a pan. Camp fire light. Very cool. They are still out there. Odumas economic world means nothing to them. They are oblivious to the looming economic calamity.
Public lands are for public use.

Impressive...no one took the camera for their own! I also liked the young female wildlife...very curious creatures ;)

Yes. We took other vids of coyotes. The fox have bushier tails and shorter legs in proportion to their bodies.

Go here to see first a fox, then coyotes. They look healthier than my own dog.

Sure would be cool to hear what they were saying. As far as I know, there's no game camera that records sound. Come to think of it, why would they?

All that aside, I was glad to see that they were stand up folks that did not take what did not belong to them and let me have my fun. These great parents taught those small girls a good lesson.

It sure would be great if they saw the vid and commented.

Absolutely, it was very nice to see that the parents were encouraging they investigate, without disrupting the camera =D>
