No shots of her face yet though ;)

Funny thing about a vehicles sex. When I bought my Ducati I ran into a problem - it was way too powerfull for me to think of it as female...but I didn't want to be wrapping my legs around something I considered male!

I shouldn't have said anything now I have to resize and upload another photo :)

Good point Nik and I do like strong assertive women like you find in the dunes...but I still have a hard time considering my bike to be female. I mean it's curvy and moody and all but it just still dosen't seem very feminine to me. Excuse me, something tells me I better duck after that comment

Excuses 101-(LOL):
Well, I am, but that leads to troubles, trailer, on ride home from Idaho lost 2 tires, not a problem I'll just but a new set...
Took rail in to be welded (**** lava bolder) and on ride home from shop, as I got home, the rear axle(tripple axle)on pass side hub bearing had gone bye-bye...
Oppps back to trailer mfgr...for new axle/hub/whatever they find...
so as I type trailer is getting fixxxed...
Rail? Do not know, if it is done...
Wife's rail is OK and just serviced, I could be a passenger...
Anyone have a T-trailer sitting in the back yard holding down the weeds?

Chuck,

The dunes are small, but fun. You have to be careful on the eastern edges, because they become steep drops into the tress along the perimeter of the dunes.

Also, you might be the only, or one of the few to take a Big 5 there, and you would definitely be the baddest rail there.

It's a fun place, definitely a family time and place. There's a few sites out there with pics, or I could send ya some.

BTW..where's the line form for the ride? [:-)]

Duncan hunter for VP!!

coos is great but winchester is better and haas much larger dunes... Glamis is larger but you just can't beat the scenery up here... pine trees growing out of sand mountains it's just incredible... like DD says the eastern lips are sharp and if your following somebody and you've never been there before and they go over an edge and down to the bottom of a steep dune with no back door out you better have the horse power to get back up - I don't think you have a problem there -Ive seen a couple smaller quads and a rail or two being towed up... I will post our clubs pictures of the coos bay trip we start this friday. Take care...
by the way, whats the rails name???

I'd like to stop but the throttles stuck...............................

Here's my newest edition to the family...I just won the auction on ebay. I will be picking it up in Oakland in about 30 days.

Now it's turbo in the sand and on the street

Spyder!!! nice catch!
I wish I still had the 'vair contact from way back in the late 60's or early 70's that came out to our dune trips (Jeep club)

Very well off guy that employed a full time wrench just for keeping the two turbo Corvair rails running! He would smoke the engine in both before going home...he had, it appeared, an unlimited supply of new Corvair engines.
His wrench would drive his motorhome out to the dunes with a open trailer loaded with to rails and the next morning the old guy would fly his own plane down. Spend the 7-10 days blowing both rails and hop in the plane to head home!
He always had loads of brand new turbo Corvair parts.

Greg Hall"Dune Centric" thinking and actions is the only way we stand a chance! It just gives me the Willys!
