Extreme Motor Sports Expo Volunteers NEEDED

Post by Sloppyduner »

Its time again for the Extreme Motor Sports Expo.
May 15, 16, and 17th.
Costa Mesa Fairgrounds

We need help in the following ways.
Set up Friday morning the 15th. 9AM- completion Moving Drawers, hanging banners, Moving tables.
Working the Show Friday night 4:30PM-10PM. Signing up new members, Talking to people about the new RAMP, Selling shirts, Selling raffle tickets for the Sand Limo and trailer.
Saturday May 16th 9AM-6PM Signing up new members, Talking to people about the new RAMP, Selling shirts, Selling raffle tickets for the Sand Limo and trailer.
Sunday May 17th- Signing up new members, Talking to people about the new RAMP, Selling shirts, Selling raffle tickets for the Sand Limo and trailer.
-Also people to tear down the booth. Moving Drawers, rolling up banners, Moving tables.

With this show like the others we DO NOT expect people to work all day. You are welcome to work as little as two hours at a time.

It is very important that the ASA steps up for this event as there is A LOT going on with the ISDRA at this time. Add on the current economic situation and the general anticipated mood of the show will be a bit more subdued than prior years. That does not mean we can't have fun.

If you can help in any of the ways above please contact me at trynspellpergl@sbcglobal.net

Thank you Justin!! =D> =D> For all three days, and since you got in on it early I'll line up a pass for you. We don't get very many considering how many volunteers we have. Other booths for "real companys" have paid people that are there all weekend.

AAGGHH Long story short. Yes a couple of people can get passes for the weekend BUT THEY HAVE TO BE IN THE BOOTH 80% of all three days. I'm only gonna be there Friday to set up and all day Sunday. The wonderful Lisa Markley will be heading up the booth the rest of the time. In fact Its her show for the ASA I'm just doing the grunt work.

YHEA!!! We got one lets get some more I figure 4-5 people per day plus Lisa or myself is what it takes for a show.

Jon,
I'll be there Sunday.
I'd like to work the booth for a few hours from opening until about 2:00pm.
What time does the show open?

I have to admit, I don't know much about the new RAMP.
Maybe you can help me through that?

This show comes at a very critical time. MANY things are going on. I believe the best thing to do is find as many volunteers as we can NOW, so we have a chance to brief them on ALL the issues we currently face with the ISDRA.

My plan (hopes in a perfect world) would be a volunteer meeting or conference call the week before the show. Until then, and over the weekend (at the info meeting in AZ I will be making notes. I could turn those into an e-mail that spells it all out.

Wash Road (or lack there of) and the RAMP are things that need to be hit hard and most importantly accurately, and without rumors, opinion, and mixed explanations of the facts. All things we try to do at every show but is critical with the RAMP.

One week till the show and we have a pretty good base. Lets shoot for a few more people. I don't think it is fair that the same people end up at these shows all three days. Its really a pretty good time. Its a better time with the more people we have.

If your not up on the most current issues I have been compiling a list of possibe questions we might get duruing this show. Along with your reminder I will be including a list of these question with answers. Its pretty basic and there will be people there who are informed to help. So shoot me an E-mail or PM and plan on having fun with some peeps who love the life style as much as you do.

I was thinking more along the lines of, for every hour someone helps in the booth they get to hit you in the mouth with a six pack rack. That would help us get people in the booth, give them something fun to do, and you'll feel just like your out riding. We'll have to have a drawing though to see who gets to crack one of your ribs. Everyone has a good time, and you won't have to pay for gas in your bike.
