OHV grants regulations meeting

Post by Brewster » Tue Oct 07, 2008 9:16 pm

I attended this evenings OHMVR Grants Regulations meeting in Sac. A waste of time. If you have submitted writen or email comments, there is no reason to attend. The meeting is a procedural step, only to hear oral comments, no discussion.

Looks like they listen to you Brew, didn't see any ASA people at the South meeting, could of used their input on the Soil loss standards, Ed Stoven and me did our best...TJ

They are lead by the even fewer that step up.

Well, it's like I said, If you had already submitted written comments, there was no need to do the oral comments. The written and oral comments will go on record and be submitted to the OAL along with the Regs package. At his point, I doubt that Division is going to make any changes to the Regs before submitting them to the OAL. Hopefully, there will be sginificant changes made after the OAL has reviewed them, which means another comment period and submission to OAL.

Peer was making an issue of it, of course as with everything in their minds it's just not restrictive enough, still unclear how this will effect Glamis but last talk with Neil indicated he had it under control, so I just took that as the final word and didn't bring up sand...TJ
