Buggy on Fire at Gordons well(Patton). Accident and Thanks

Post by phx450 »

Not sure of how many of you saw the rail on fire on thursday.

On thursday at about noon my girlfriends father and Cousin (7year old) sand rail they were riding in caught fire at the top of the hill. It caught fire as they were going up the hill from a spare gas can. They both were transported by helicopter from the hill. They both are in Critical condition with her dad here in Phoenix at Maricopa Medical Center in the Burn unit and her Cousin At a hospital in San Diego. Jerry her father has burns covering more then 60% of his body and Chase with ruffly 35% of his body in burns. It was a ruff thanksgiving for the family but hopefully they will both heal up and survive.

I just want to thank the people that helped us. A handfull of nurses and EMT's helped us tremendously and we cannot thank them enough. Several BLM folks were very helpfull as well. We also had several people take people back to our campsite in rhino's and rails etc.

If you or someone you know was involved have them shoot me an email and i can thank them personally.

Thanks again.

Good to hear that people were there to help when needed. That's what us duners should be about.

We were sititng at the bottom of Patton when this happened. That car went up in flames really quick. A lot of people got up there as fast as they could to help out. I sincerely hope that both people recover quickly.
