Thank You

Last Saturday (5 Feb) my family was at Pad 4. Later on in the afternoon my 2 year old grandaughter got hold of some over the counter meclizine. She ate 50 plus tablets. She was supposed to be taking a nap while we were eating lunch. During that time she was able to climb out of her crib (first time she has done that), get a stool, reach the container at the back of the countertop and open the child proof container. We called 911 and Rusty Massie and three BLM Rangers responded in quick fashion.

To each one of you my family and I would like to share our deepest appreciation for your dedication, professionalism and kindness. A job well done!

The hospital staff did a great job and Aven (grandaughter) was able to come back to camp around 11:00 p.m.

Wow, that's scary. Glad she is alright. And glad the rangers were there to help you. Definitely have to appreciate them for everything they do.

My daughter did something like that when we were camped at Gordons twenty years ago. Only it was Asperin, we had no idea if she had taken any. So it was a quick trip to Yuma Medical Center for a Carbon slurry treatment. Wont forget that experience.

I'm glad you guys caught it quickly and I'm very glad she is ok.

Those are scary situations, even for LEO's. For most of us, nothing effects us more, than dealing with injured kids. I've had my share, some of whom didn't survive, and it will be with me the rest of my life.
