Trying Out My New Camera

Post by Sandcock »

The video is a bit long. Its our ride coming back from Wash 23 after visiting with Lydia and Robert going up Brawley Slide and the dunes behind going toward Gecko.

Its a Go Pro HD Hero 960 Motorsports Camera. I got it the evening before I went out to Glamis, so I need to get some more experience riding with it. I new to the video thing and I'm going to have to figure out how to edit what I have into a 5-minute piece so that GB will watch it

That was a good video Ed. I think you are right in that you need to get in the back and film. The problem for me is that everyone that I ride with, with the exception of the aSa guys, looks at me to lead.

Try turning the camera around, if they stay close it turns out pretty good also.....or mount it to another helmet

Scotty, he means turning the camera around on the helmet, not wearing the helmet backwards, or riding backwards.

Nope, just a full time job, 3 kids in two different sports each, 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 19 fish, and a wife who thinks going to work early is 9 am.

Play the video for me on ASA trip big shooter

I have five of the GoPro HD cameras and have over 500 GB of footage so far from them...of my road racing endeavors.

Love these cameras, and they are practically "throw away" compared to the Sonys that I also use at $2800 each!

I use the Sony Vegas software to edit. Another family member prefers the Apple Final Cut Pro, but you can also get away with just using the Microsoft editor that pretty much comes with all newer Microsoft OSs.

I'd love to get out to the sand again with these cameras, but the racing season doesn't leave much time for the sand anymore. :(
