Instrument panel

Post by railcrzy »

Hello Board,

I need some help.

Im building a car and i need some ideas for a instrument panel for switches and gauges.

I need something that will mount on the front bar where steering mounts and comes out about 8" and sits close to the steering wheel so i can reach it belted in.

Any ideas of where to buy something already prefabbed is appreciated.

I am going through a similar experience ... I have spent a lot of time looking at back issues of sand sports, Hot VW's etc to see what different people are doing. There is a steering wheel out there that has 5 buttons on it and uses RF (Radio Frequency) to an on board reciever to turn on and off what ever you hook it up to, but for a price ... a big price. That might handle the reachability issue. As far as the gages go ... I am still thinking and looking.
