This is my daughters first day on her new "Race Stock" GS skies. And of course, these are men's skies.........

It was a soft snow day so it was a bit tricky on these bad boy skies.

24 meter radius smokers.............. =D> Stable at over 80+ MPH, if you dare, and this girl can bring it for sure..... =D> ....

After playing with the race stock skis for a few hours we put the twin tips on and played inthe bumps.

Reno in the back ground, Kendra's putting on the last glove after adjusting her new Lange ski boots. Her first day on her new Lange race boots and she has a small bout of Lange-itus.........

Ken, there was a change in the BBS software a while back to allow uploading directly; now all anyone has to do is click on the picture, and they can see it at full size.

For these guys, I'd died for.

And for the mods ,in the past I could just post this pic and it would post, now it is 14% and change in file size and the quality is bad when you click on it. If you could only see it in all its glory........

I'd LOVE to see what kind of camera you're using that it's producing 75Meg images. Unless you're trying to post raw uncompressed 10megapixel+ images you must have something seriously confused.

The limits on attached photos are more strict than the limits on photos posted in your album and linked in - which is still 100% available to all users and supported. (though there are quotas on how much space you can use - drives aren't free and I'm sure all of us would rather see the ASA spending money on keeping dunes open than bigger drives and more bandwidth.) You're also still welcome to self-host images and link them into your posts (which is what I normally do just because I like to keep all my images directly under my own control in one central place instead of scattered across dozens of servers.)

You are correct, I should have used KB not MB, and it could very well be something on my end. I will call my friends in India and see if they can help.

My frustration maybe self inflicted, I have a bit of work to do. And I truly do hope it is on my end and will gladly eat Crow.

My original goal in posting here was to bring the political angle and to post trip stories to add interest to the site/with pic's.

I got cornered with the politics and things spiraled down from there. I learned early on, never to back down from a fight. My High School years at Morse High School in San Diego. Some here might know what I'm talking about, if you are from San Diego. My eyes are blue. I ended up at Patrick Henry High School, a good thing.

So, in time maybe I can figure out what is going on and bring the trip stories to this site and create more traffic for this site.

We have been test driving next years skies for the last few months and the future is bright........

My daughters sponsor put her on next years Nordica...............Nemesis a woman's ski for a hole week, our spring break.

This is my daughter skiing some tough winter into spring snow in the North Bowl @ Squaw.

Well, It's snowing outside and It's the 27th of May.............

We like to get on the lake ( Tahoe ) in June with the kayaks.

Putting the mountain bikes on hold, were going skiing tomorrow. Over night temps at Squaw will be in the low twenties with new wind blown snow. Taking the camera.........

It is our mountain bike season as the lake ( Tahoe ) has yet to warm up this year due to global cooling. Where is Al Gore when you need him.

We've been hammering the single track. The Kayaks are getting bored, stored away while the Titus mountain bikes are having all the fun

Kind of old news now, but we had winter snow on the 29th of May, 2011. Close to 7 months of skiing this past season. Hard to let a season like that one go..........

But time marches on and new adventures are ahead. The lake is warming and Squaw will be open for the 4th of July...... =D>

It's a hard life, but ****, someones got to do it.............

Those are our rigs in the center/ my daughters has the Chris King hubs w/ titanium frame. Don't get in her way on the down hill......then again.....same goes on the climb. Bring it, we know how to grind....... =D>

The weather had taken a turn to the warm side Saturday night 1-15-16-11 and winter snow turned to mush. I skied one run on Sunday 1-16-11 and went home.

We went from winter conditions to late spring snow overnight. Spring snow is good, if it can freeze overnight. I could write a book about snow conditions..................

Students were doing their finals and getting out of school at 11.45 am . Lots of time to rip the white stuff, until the lifts close at four.
On the Slide Side, East facing, early sun would give you good snow but as the sun went over the hill, things would freeze up.
A good kid lost his life, doing the shred thing...............

Lesson learned, when on hard snow , keep your hard steel edges on.

The rain is coming down hard now. A day after the fire storm we had yesterday, dry conditions with high wind ( 60-70 mph+ ) in the later part of January.

We had the water hoses out, wetting things down, the fire was a couple miles to the south..........

These guys went up against the big dollar teams and earned their respect with their results.

My daughter with her two medals for her her two 5th place finishes in the downhill. She crashed on her first try. There is video of her crash. I will try to post it. Falling at 60 mph makes for sleepless nights for dad......

Here is a pic of the boring life at speed.......... This is the Suger G near chair 23 at Mammoth. I was clocking the girls in the high sixties (MPH) with the radar gun. We called this section the " flats "..........

60+ MPH

Oh, let me add this. For once she was on skis made for a women. At this level of skiing you have to paly with the right tools.

Her down hill skies were Atomic 210 CM and the super G's were Head 200 CM, for those in the know.

At the end of speed week at Mammoth Mountain ( the Snow Summit team was there ) we did some quading and found some time to relax on the beach at Mono Lake. East shore...... =D>

A midweek day skiing with daddy. GS race ski skiing, shreding the white stuff in simi-sticky winter into spring snow at speed. ( We wax and tune daily ). Wax is the key, if you want to go fast in snow. =D>

My little girl is growing up. She is confident, smokes her dad on the ski slopes now ( and I rip ).

As the years go by and we all grow older.......I, anyway look back and reflect on past decisions. I put my, 12 year old daughter, on a souped up Z-400 as I saw her need for more power in the dunes. A hill she could barely climb. A ridge she could barely cross due to a lack of power with her Blaster. The Blaster was piped, jetted and K&N'ed, but I wasn't goin to dump a pile of money on a quad that was old school 200cc two stroke.

We have never looked back. Life is a one shot deal.........and live it we will........ =D>

I spied these two birds after a bit of stealth. It appeared they were a pair. One being a man and one being a woman. I could only assume, occupying a nest on Mono Lake. Funny how the natural world arranges things without government interference. =D>

We had just traveled close to 40 miles to reach this spot. On our way to Mono Lake from the east side on back trails still open to off road vehicles. This was some real tough sand trails which liked to "eat fuel" and we had many miles to go, on trails untraveled by this "desert clan". =D>

Using the maps provided by the Mammoth Ranger station we did a loop and 70 miles later we found our barbecue.
