No, but we might as well be.... :?

We own a house together...and we have a party on Aug 4th. So that means the Wookiee has a lot of work to do.

Woody Darrell, Jason, Lance and Travis won't be out this time. Bummer :( We have a good group though :D

Cool, thanks for the offer Clay! Getting a ride out there isnt really the problem, esspecially since I have a friend that I want to come out with us, and my BEAST would ensure that when your Yamaha breaks down in the middle of the dunes, we can drive something back there and get it out. My biggest problem is getting the "honey do" list taken care of before August 4th! We are having a big shin dig, and I have mucho work!

(I am going to start speaking in broken spanish, mostly because DP makes me feel like a Mexican Laborer. Those guys just dont stop working!! )

Sweet talk DP into letting you go out to get refreshed and you'll be really motivated when you come back :)

and my BEAST would ensure that when your Yamaha breaks down in the middle of the dunes,
What you trying to say Willis :-# You saw the 660 come back out of the BIG DUNES on it's own power, three flats and busted up plastic. THEN go back out after a good ole tire change

Hey guys,

Looks like I am going to have to stay at home and try to heal this next weekend. I threw my back out on Saturday, looks like the disk is herniated, and pinching a nerve that runs down my right side. I can barley move my right leg. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday, and will try to get better as soon as I can. I just dont think my back is going to heal in time for the night ride, and I would rather not take a chance with it. Its pinched right where I have the broken vertabre, so it could be more serious than I think. It just sucks! All I was doing was picking up an empty cardboard box, and it popped. It felt like I got kicked in the back by a mule.

This happened early Saturday morning. It really took a toll on my progress with the honey do list as well, although I did get one major project finished. For the most part, the garage is cleaned and the yard sale pile is organized (thanks to DunePrincess). Also, I got the front and back yard re-sodded. That was a major pain in the back, digging up all the old grass and hauling all the new sod in from the street. I had help, but not enough to take the time off. I ended up working my tail off.

So what you are going to have to do for me, is, tape my video camera to Jakes helmet, just so it feels like I am along for the ride. Then when you guys come over for the house warming party, we can all sit and re-live the experience.

Sorry I cant be there this time guys. If it was anything less than this, please know I would be there.

Grumpier than ever "Wookiee"....

Hey guys, my back is feeling a little better, the disk is back in place an no longer touching my spinal chord. However, I am still sore and dont want to take a chance. Plus, we are putting the final touches on the house for the party next weekend. So I am still a no go...

I'd like to do that again, but I can't this time.
Maybe next time though.
I am planning to bring the trailer again, but [unless things change on the home front] I wont be arriving till Sat night.

That morning run was a pretty good run and my dad and I probably should have ended the day with that one. We rode out to Gecko Road at a pretty hard pace and had to putt back because we were so tired.

I fell asleep at around 3 pm and I just woke up. (Its 1: 15 AM) My body still hasn't even started to recover. I'm so tired!

Welcome to the board Ed!
I'm glad we were able to meet up with you out there. After you left, were you able to find the guys that you were supposed to meet?
Hopefully you can join us again!

Man, am I ever sore! And tired!
Such a sweet trip! 8)
Tom lead us on one 'ok' ride and on one 'unbelievable' ride! We rode to the average ability of the group, which on this night turned out to be dang fast!

The numbers:
At 8:00p on Sat Night, it was 104 in Brawley.
At 4:00a on Sun Morning, it was 90 in Glamis.
At 10:00a on Sun Morning, it was 92 in Glamis.
And, Yes, IT EVEN RAINED A LITTLE!!
Two rides in total, first one was like 2 hrs and 40 minutes and the second one was like an hour and a half.

The real egalitarians are not the people who want to redistribute wealth to the poor, but those who want to extend to the poor the ability to create their own wealth, to lift themselves up, instead of trying to tear others down. Earning respect, including self-respect, is better than being a parasite. Thomas Sowell

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but here's what I'm talking about.

Technically 'mid-august' [i.e. Aug15] is on a Wednesday so I'm not sure which weekend you're talking about Aug11/12 or Aug18/19? Or maybe you're talking about W:Aug15? Couldn't much say yes without knowing what date you were talking about.
But, I could easily say no as I'm working on Aug14,15,16 so I couldn't go on the 15th, and on both of those weekends, I already have plans.

So, that's what I was talking about, what were you talking about?

The kid isn't lying, I was Mike's navigator on this trip. Everytime I looked in the mirror, Marcus was in the roost. His pink skin isn't sun burn, it is dermabrasion from the roost....

Maybe. My buddy is just finishing a new Suby. I'm sure he'll want to "break" it in. Depends on when he's done.
