I'm not in charge, I'm just a reader of calendars

Now we have a problem...
Some how, some one [could have been me]
gave someone else the days for the cleans
The dates were first in the Calendar because it goes to print a year in advance...
Or someone, may have copied the dates for putting in the ASA flyer and Tim's flyer incorrect...
Either way...
There is a problem, and there will be/is confusion.
The original date was at Olds Hill.
Some how, it was changed.
Now what, I will not get in the middle,

Someone else choose the place, I am leaving for the dunes in two hours and will not know....
one way or another
Steve

They covered both hills on Saturday the 7th. After Comp was looking good, Tim and the rangers packed everything up and headed to Olds. It was another successful mini cleanup.
Don't forget the Glamis Dunes.Com end of season Adopt-A-Wash cleanup and BBQ on April 21st at 7:00 am.
Clean up your normal camping area or a chosen spot.
Meet at the ComPound behind the Glamis Beach Store at noon for a BBQ prepared by my team and I.

Maybe we are getting close to the bottom of the Comp Pit.
I found 2 cans that were the old "Pull Tab" style.
There was still a ton of glass, sad.
I helped Tim and the EMS folks move over to Olds for the last hour, and they had more sign-ups in 1 hour at Olds then they got all morning at Comp.

On a "stop" out in the dunes last weekend, I found and picked up crushed cans from four different eras, all at the bottom of the same bowl.
1--Pop top can
I also found a pop top in area...
1--Push in [Coors beer] had push in top with two holes
3 or 4-- 'regular pop top' with nothing saying recycle or deposit
and
5 or 6 -- fourth type saying recycle and deposit
I also picked up some very old bottles unbroken in the middle/bottom of different near by bowl...

I noticed that camping in the ComPound this season. Every week (and I was out almost every week) I would find new items unburied outside of my RV.OBSESSED wrote:Every time the wind blows very hard, [50+ mph week ago] old stuff is unearthed [unsanded] by the blowing winds.
Hopefully the wind this week will uncover a lot of stuff for our cleanup next weekend April 21st. You going to be out there Steve? Come by the ComPound Saturday at noon for some BBQ.
The ComPound is the fenced in area behind the Glamis Beach Store.
