It will be us, and Becky's folks. So, we will have 3 trucks pulling 3 trailers.
Liar Liar!
Becky's folks have backed out. So, it will just be us, with one truck / trailer arriving at 7:30p or so on Friday night. If the loop closes in before we arrive, we we will start a second loop outside the first one.
GREAT..
now I will have to put all those oranges back on the tree I picked for them

The website I'm looking at says a 60% chance of rain all day saturday. That means the pit barbeque may be a challenge. Not to mention a possible unhappy wife sitting it the toy hauler all day doesnt bode well for the gel. By the way - cough!

Hey, I'm here at Wash 16! Got in around 10 AM this morning. I'm all the way at the back up against the smaller dunes.
Joe and his crew from Arizona showed up about an hour after me, and they're getting all setup now. I'm chowing on hot dogs, and hopefully we'll go for a ride here in a bit.
The weather is perfect... 73 deg, 38% humidity, and a light breeze from the east.
The circle we have staked out should be big enough for a huge crowd. Plus there's nobody else here in the wash anyway. I have my ASA flag on the side of my trailer by the front door.

I have started packing, I'll be out early friday morning if my family will wake up.
We just got back from our afternoon ride. We went out to Brawley, then up past Olds to Osborne, then rode along the road for a while, then back to camp. Not much, only about 25 miles, but it was a good ride.
A couple more rigs showed up, but I haven't been over to see who they are yet. A Funrunner with a DS650 and a flagpole/beacon, and a regular enclosed trailer.
Ok, planning to sneak out of the office in the next 15 mins (by 2:00). Jam home, load the truck, hitch up the trailer, dump and refill the water tank, load my cloths, (temporarily) fix the generator exhaust pipe hanger, and leave. Hopefully, but 3:00p. Pick up one kid at daycare on the way out of town, stop for gas in Temecula, stop for dinner in Brawley and we should be in Wash16 sometime Sunday morning!
Do ya ever get that feeling like you're NEVER going to get there?

Oh I member now why I love it so much out there. Its the riding. It was great this weekend. Could be the people. They were funny as ***** this weekend. Lots of cool doggys out there too. Oh the food. Even more new friends too. What were those 20-25 MPH winds Saturday night. That didn't stop us from sitting around the fire. We don't need no stinking good weather.
Friday night fire was the best. It started out with those dam noisey south duners then it turned into something Im NOT going to tell my grand kids about.
Look how blury The Fog is. Like he could stand still.
Here's a couple of pic's of us/you guys on a rest stop during the great ASA group ride =D> featuring Gene as the "leader of the pack". I did not get a count of how many riders we had but it was a long line up, 15 or 16 maybe.
And now one of me "air Walter" living up to the nick name... taken by "Sloppy" at "Lidia Hill" Sunday morning
Thanks to everyone, including Clay and Gene for dinner Saturday night.
Dunes were epic Sunday morning.
We had a blast!

Awesome Pics Neal. You do great work! Combing through your website, I repeatedly ask myself questions like, "Where was that?" and "Did he crash?". Cool stuff!

Wow what a site Neal awesome pics. The one with Loren and his son with the hair back was a great shot. And of course my boy Dunerooster AKA monkey motion sliding around the dunes and the seat is always a good show.
Great weekend everyone truly another good time. I am glad I got a chance to do some leading with a slightly different style to it. I enjoyed it and thank you for all the nice comments.
Clay did another outstanding job on the Pit BBQ. Good food Good friends and just good times. It was great meeting some of the people from the board and putting a name with the face. Very cool to meet and ride with Wood is good and family.
I like the rain it definitely put a different spin to the trip. Not every trip you get to experience a little rain in the dunes.

I brought home a shovel that was left by someone at the unused fire ring towards the south end of the camp circle - a round-nosed shovel with fairly weathered handle. Let me know who it belongs to and I'll try to get it back to them.
It was good to hook up again with old friends and meet some new ones. The pit bbq was awesome and the rain added an interesting twist. Can't wait to get out there again.
We had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year. I want to thank Mike for putting it all together, Gene for the ride and Clay for the meat pit =D> . Thanks to WoodIsGood for the ride on Sunday morning, the calico dunes is something that I will never forget. It was great to see everyone else in the ASA family as well, south duners, GlamisBound, AZJoe and friends, Sloppy & Neil and all of the regulars as well =D> . Thank you to everyone and hope that we will see you all back next year.
Awesome pics Neil =D> , I never thought this group could look so good

Those pictures are awesome, very nice work. It looks like those of us who missed that trip, really missed out. I had no idea there would be so many buggies, wish we could've been there, thanks for sharing the results.
I had more fun on this trip than any other, good times for sure. Peyton said Genes' Sunday morning ride was the funnest ride she had ever been on. Hope to see you all out there soon.
Gene, your rides are nothing that a 12 year old girl can't handle. lsg.

OMG Speaking of Peyton. We went on that ride Friday. You, Peyton were coming back because she wasn't feeling well. I came back with you because I was afraid of the George ride. But for a girl who wasn't feeling good she was still getting far more air than anybody I have ever followed.

Sloppy, you thought us Brittains were just fools, but we're jumpin fools.
Great trip everybody it was a blast from the Gene rides to the good eats from Clays hot oops I should say

Thanks to everybody for making it so much fun.
