WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBERS!

ASA Welcomes Three New Board Members
The American Sand Association is pleased to welcome Kevin McPherson, Brian Crain, and Sarah Koeth to the ASA Board of Directors.
Serving on a volunteer board is about much more than having your name on a roster or attending an occasional meeting. It means accepting responsibility for the direction, oversight, and future of an organization — and being willing to give the time and energy necessary to help it succeed.
For ASA Board members, that commitment includes helping guide organizational priorities, overseeing programs and resources, participating in meetings and discussions, making sometimes difficult decisions, and ensuring ASA remains focused on its mission of protecting responsible motorized recreation and access to our public lands.
And all of that takes time.
It is time spent reading reports, answering emails, joining meetings, working through issues, helping at events, and dealing with the countless behind-the-scenes details that keep a volunteer organization moving forward. It is often time taken away from family, weekends, recreation — and sometimes from enjoying the very dunes we’re all working to protect.
That willingness to serve matters.
ASA has always depended upon people who are willing to step forward rather than simply stand on the sidelines. Strong organizations need good leadership, different perspectives, thoughtful discussion, responsible oversight, and people willing to work together toward a common purpose.
Kevin, Brian, and Sarah each bring their own experience, knowledge, perspective, and enthusiasm to that table, and we appreciate their willingness to make the commitment.
To our newest Board members: Welcome aboard, and thank you for stepping up.
And to every ASA volunteer, supporter, member, sponsor, and duner who continues to stand with us — thank you as well.
Because protecting the future of sand sports isn’t the job of one person, one Board, or one organization.
We do it with a team effort:
Standing Together. Keeping Dune Access Alive and Well.
